Today was only a half-day at school, which included about an hour for our Christmas party. We read the Christmas story from Luke, had an ornament exchange, ate some treats, and visited with each other. And I was very blessed by the generosity of my 5th graders (and their parents!). There were many thoughtful and special (and some yummy) gifts for me to open, but one stood out in particular. It was from "K", and he couldn't wait for me to open it.
I unwrapped a beautiful, warm, fuzzy, fleece jacket and tried it on right away. I said something like, "Wow, K, it's fits perfectly! Thank you so much; I love it!"
K replied: "I thought you might like to wear it when you go birding early in the morning and it's cold."
Okay. How adorable is that?
