A Note on the Backpacking

A couple of things relating to my trip (now more than a week past).

1) I saw my first Bobcat on the way home. This should be recorded for posterity. It was wandering unconcernedly along a fence on the outskirts of Lone Pine. I was driving at the time, looked right, double-taked (double-took?) and said, "Bobcat," pointing. We zipped by at high speed, and I admired the drolly strolling stocky spotted feline from the corner of my eye.
