Last Solvang Post!

Libby posted a bunch of pictures from our Solvang trip on her Facebook account. You can link to it here (I think).

Some pretty flowers.

Yellow-billed Magpies, a California endemic, are found in the countryside around Solvang.

Solvang has a lot of pretty architecture.

We visited Nojoqui Falls just outside of Solvang on Alisal Road. The Falls are beautiful, though they were more of a drip this autumn. The countryside is rolling oak hill-land and pastures. It's very pretty! It's much wetter than our local oak woodland, with moss hanging from the oak branches. The oaks are also more densely packed.

I love the pictures Jonathan. I am glad you posted them. I'm always a fan of seeing nature at its best and those pictures truly represent that concept. On a random note, Happy Belated Anniversary! May you and Libby have many, many, many, many, MANY more years together! :-)
